My problem with cw has always been I can't write fast enough doing my usual printing. When I was doing 20+ wpm I was missing some letters and getting frustrated because of trouble trying to get out of the habit of crossing T's and such plus being a slow learner on copying behind which I never got good at. I'd get frustrated and all the time I'd be copying while reclined in a big padded chair using a clip board :D The same position I'd take while SSB. Well the hobby is supposed to be fun. I sure go for the comfortable aspect of operating. I guess i should practice printing letters faster. When first learning morse code I made the big mistake of remembering letters by dots and dashes instead of the complete sound of the cw for the letter. I need to retrain myself the right way.

That website has some nice software. Thank you for posting it.

Every one of us is having his problem my friend.

I use the key with the left hand and I also wirte with the left hand, this makes it a bit hard for me to cope with both, I do not do direct logging but I write all of the calls on paper and then later one I enter them in my log.

I when I satred CW it was like a night mare for me, I drop my call sign calling cq and when the pile up beging to work I just run away and shut down my station

Not any more, I love being behind the key.

A71BR given me a special key to work on mobile yestrday while were are testing different antennas and that key was so small and so nice which I did enjoy a lot.

I am such a sucker for keys and paddles it is rediculous. My last two keys I purchased were the Code Might http://vibroplex.com/code_mite.html and Brass Racer. Of course I already have Kent and Bencher iambics with a couple straight keys too. I haven't used the Code Might yet but the plan is for mobile.

last night at the portable acitivites the OutPacker showed a wonderful performance all over other antennas, CW mode of course, great and massive pile ups, state site, Eu and the far east.

At the end I was so tired and couldn't cope with the pile up so I requested QRT.

I am going to make another order for one more new Outpaker, the traheel did tune on the test bit of A71AD but the gain was not by any means as good as my old outpacker.
