I like to see some home made antennas for 40 and 80 meters, thank you, 73
I have an inverted vee doublet fed with ladder line, apex is around 70ft (~21 meters).
I will try to take some pictures, but it does good on 80, and somewhat good on 40.
To me a doublet is a nice simple antenna to make, and ladder line is cheap and low loss. The only problem is that you have to keep it away from metallic objects, and sometimes the SWR goes up during the rain.

I made this simple dipole feed point using some pvc pipe fittings, stainless steel eye bolts, some coax braid, and an SO-239 from the junk box.

Greetings from Florida.
I just made a "loop skywire" cut for 75meters. It out-performs my G5RV and isn't even as high (20feet). It measures 63.4Ft per side, fed with 30 feet of RG58/u, no balun. It's harmonics are also RESONANT,which is a major plus.
I would take a picture of it, but the picswon't show much. It is quite "stealthy".
For more details, visit QST's site for the article by Dave Fischer,w0mhs, "The Loop Skywire". Give it a go. It's super easy/cheap to build, and you will not be dissapointed. I sure was not!

Hi everybody,
Me and my friends from the radio club Z37M, last few days was testing a new antenna for us, Bobtail. We compare it with many US and EU stations and got an interesting reports. The other antennas were Delta loop and 2 phased verticals. Comparation with delta loop was almost 3-4 units diffirent, for example on delta loop we got 559-579 and on Bobtail 589-599+. Comparation with 2 phased verticals was 1-2 units, with this antenna we got 579-589 and with Bobtail 599-599+. Power on all antennas was 700 wats. But there is one problem with Bobtail, there is to much noise with these antenna, so we used other antenna for reception. It will be nice if somebody have some more experience with these antenna.

HI Rashed,
Last weekend we continue with the testing on Bobtail with 2 x phased verticals and delta loops. Definitely Bob tail is the best TX antenna. Another test was between Verticals and delta loop beaming to JA. Result after several qso's with JA's and some other far east station was about 2 S-unuts better fo verticals. Some photos of these antennas are here on my photo album.

Thank you for the link, we almost got the right set up now for all of our mobile and portable activities, antennas wise, we can now operate from80,40,30,20,17,15,12 and 10m with very simple antennas and very solid base, most of the antenna we experimnted on having a great ratio of swr and they do not even need a tuner on line.
I will post some photos soon at the extension of the site www.a71cw.com.
I am just struggling last 3 day in setting up my Signalink which is still given me a lot of trouble to configure while I know it is of very handy and friendly tool, it is just I am getting old:)))
Thank you my friend and wishing you all of the best
